RAMANATHI RESERVOIR
Ramanathi river originates from the western ghates at an altitude of 5150 feet and runs through the forest areas for a length of 7 km and reaches in plain areas. In the foot of hills, in which the Ramanathi Reservoir has been constructed across the Ramanathi river in the year of 1974 in Melakadayam village of Ambassamudram taluk in Tirunelveli District. This reservoir was constructed with earth and stone masonry structures to a length of 839 m .The height of the storage is 84 feet to a capacity of 152 Mcft and registered ayacut benefitted is 4953.51 Acres .The reservoir is having 2 fillings per year and two river sluices and one controlled spillway arrangement .Under this reservoir 9 anicuts and through the anicut channels 33 tanks are benefitted for irrigation.

Gundar reservoir is situated across the gundar river the branch of Chittar river which orginates in the western ghates foot of hills in the Kannupulimedu village of Shencottai taluk in Tirunelveli District. Gundar reservoir was constructed with earth and masonry structures with a capacity of 25 Mcft. Gundar river flows towards Kottakulam village at a distance of 8 Kilometer and joined in the Hariharanathi and then the Hariharanathi flows towards 3 kilometer and finally confluence in the Chittar river .

KARUPPANATHI RESERVOIR
The river Karuppanathi which is the branch of Tamirabarani and tributary of Chittar river orginates at an altitude of 5870 feet falls in the Krishnapuram village of Kadayanalloor taluk in Tirunelveli District. Karuppanathi reservoir was constructed across the Karuppanathi river in the year 1974.Karuppanathi river flows towards south to a distance of 20 kilometers and confluence in the Hanumannathi river at the down stream side of Urmelazhahiyan anicut in Sampavarvadakarai village.The reservoir gets its benefits from the South west and North east monsoon periods .There are 6 anicuts available across the Karuppanathi river and 72 tanks.

GADANA RESERVOIR
The Gadana Reservoir has been constructed across the Gadananathi river which is the tributary of Tamirabarani with earth and masonry structures in the western ghates foot of hills in the Tharmapuram madam and Sivasailam village of Ambasamudram taluk in Tirunelveli District. The Ellupaiar river joined in the downstream side of Gadana reservoir near the Sivasailam village and then the Ramanathi river is joined in the Gadanathi river near Keelaampur village at a distance of 11 kilometer .Then the Gadanathi river flows towards south east to a distance of 13 kilometer and confluences in the Tamirabarani river near Thirupudaimaruthur village of Ambasamudram taluk. Anicuts are available across the Gadananathi river .

The Adavinainar Reservoir is situated across the Hanumanathi river which is in the western ghates foot of hills in the Mekkarai village of Shencottai taluk in Tirunelveli District with a capacity of 175 Mcft.Under the Reservoir the Hanumannathi flows 32 kilometers and confluence in the Chittar river .

The Kodumudiyar Reservoir is constructed with masonry, earthen type across the jungle streams namely Kodumudiyar and Kombaiyar, at the confluence point (where its called Thamariyar) for a Length of 411 M to the height of 28.00 m with 2.11 number of filling with the capacity of 126.53 Mcft and is located at the foot of Kalakad Western ghates downstream side in Thirukkurangudi Village of Nanguneri Taluk in Tirunelveli District. There are Two sluices are located is the Reservoir through which water is Released for benefiting 16 Villages in two Taluks of 5781 Acres under 44 Tanks. The Reservoir derives water from its own catchment in both season (ie) North East and south west monsoon.

NAMBIYAR RESERVOIR
The Nambiyar Reservoir is constructed with across Nambiyar River in between the 7th and 8th anicut for a length of 2605m to the height of 10.84m with capacity of 82.17Mcft and is located at the Kottaikarukulam Village of Radahapuram Taluk in Tirunelveli District in the Year of 2004. There is two Sluice is Namely Left side main Canal and Right side main Canal through which water is released for benefiting 1744 Acres under 40 Tanks. The Reservoir derives water from its own Catchment in both seasons (ie) North East and South West monsoon.

The Vadakkupachayar Reservoir is constructed with masonry, Earthen Type across Vadakkupachayar River for a length of 3110m to the height of 20.20m with capacity of 442Mcft and is located at the foot of Western ghates in Pathai Village of Nanguneri Taluk in Tirunelveli District in the Year of 2004. There is only one Sluice is Located through which water is released for benefiting 9593 Acres under 115 Tanks. The Reservoir derives water from its own Catchment in both reasons (ie) North East and South West monsoon. In addition that during rainy Period the water is received from Pachayar River through diversion weir feeder Canal.
